Jim Unger, Dead at 75

In MemoriumJim Unger was 75. He was the Canadian cartoonist best known for his syndicated comic strip Herman which ran for eighteen years in 600 newspapers in 25 countries.


Herman was always one of my favourites.

"Herman" was the first thing I would look at in the Globe and Mail, way back when. Unger had a Gary Larson ("The Far Side") type of humour which appealed to my warped sense.

I developed an appreciation for Herman years ago when I was given one of his collection books. So much of his material was/is timeless.

I also enjoy "Cornered". It's of the same genre. Have a look. Hope you enjoy it.
