Back from Jamaica (It's Bev!)

Had a good break from the city driving the entire north coast of Jamaica. Beautiful country but after 16 times of going there, going to Asia would be nice for a change. Or another island. Or how about a cruise? Would that be better than staying in one country?

Anyways, I am grateful for being in Canada for now seeing the effects of this recession out there in JA. Suicidal rates are up, a few tourist spots abandoned, people panicking on how to survive. Sad sad.

i've never been to Jamaica, but some of us were thinking of going to a resort there called, ironically, the white house.

any experience with that place Bev? (or anyone else for that matter).

I'm with you on Asia. I've done most of North America and Europe, so Asia is my next logical destination and a place (places) I'd LOVE to see!

I've visited China. Very diverse & interesting place.

Hong Kong: Truly amazing city with the worlds best skyline. The population density is amazing and so is their ability to move people in lines.

Shanghai: Coolest part is the late night markets. You can try eating snake, bugs, etc. Slowly disappearing as the city modernizes.

Mainland interior: Can't remember the name, but it was a place where you walk on this path on the sides of cliffs, etc. Tough hike but it's beautiful.

Great Wall: It amazing someone built that thing by hand.
