Raptors Devotee

I grew up in Montreal, spending my first 25 informative years there, and being an Expos fanatic, rarely missed a game, be it in person, radio, or tv.

Duke Snider was a wonderful storyteller about all his Brooklyn Dodger teamates, and I felt like I was in the clubhouse with them.

Duke's broadcasting style was very laid back, and he never looked for the spotlight. He was the perfect colour man for Dave Van Horne, his partner for 14 years, who will be inducted into the HOF this year, and unfortunately Duke will not be there in person to share it with Dave.

My condolences to the Snider family and to all who followed Duke in his playing/broadcasting careers.
