Listening to Canadian Top 40 radio in the early 80s means hearing a lot of Doug and the Slugs.
Doug and the Slugs were a Vancouver based group, which meant they were CanCon. They had a string of hits, including "Too Bad", "Day By Day" and this catchy little number, "Making it Work".
