If you exclude the two Saturday night games, this team has been competitive. In fact, outside of Saturday night, we've either won in regulation or lost in a shootout. Clearly this team takes weekends off with the rest of us.
We almost won this thing in regulation, and in the shootout, Ron Wilson went with Cujo. I swear, the other day I was thinking we should try just that. Tosky isn't a very good shootout goaltender and it seems our inability to get that extra point kills us year after year.
What's the season record for most shootout appearances by a team? I think we're gunning for it.
