Brendan Shanahan Double Dare

nhlBrendan Shanahan said he only wanted to play in New York. I didn't believe him. I held out hope the unrestricted free agent would sign with his home town team. Shanahan was true to his word, however, and he just signed a one year deal with the Rangers. It's highly unlikely he'll ever play for our beloved Maple Leafs.

I've always loved the way this guy plays hockey. He has more career goals than any other active player in the NHL. He is my favourite hockey player never to wear the blue and white.

And no, this praise has nothing to do with the fact we went to the same high school. I dare you to say one negative thing about the way this guy plays. In fact, I double dare you.

It goes to show where is mind is at - $$$$$$. Surely JFjr. offered him contract - Probably NOT. JFjr. can't see sun for clouds.
All players want to play at least 1 year in their home town espcially during their latter years. Roberts, Lindros, Peca, Cujo, O'Neil etc. signed in the last few years with a mediocore impact. Time to take another chance - Who else is left?
