Tucker Loves Dubya

hangerSteve, if you're reading this, I think it's time you change Leafs jerseys. You've been wearing that #16 Tucker jersey for a while now, and he's off to a great start to the season, but did you read the sports section in yesterday's Star?

You couldn't skip past that headline: "Leaf big on Dubya". Then, there's that devastating quote from Darcy Tucker when asked by ESPN why he chose George W. Bush as the one person he'd like to meet. Tucker replied:

I would like to pick his brain. I think his political views are on the same line as my own... So I really back what he is trying to do.

Dude, I dare you to wear that #16 at our next Leaf game get together. Might I suggest a #42 Kyle Wellwood or a #1 Justin Pogge?

I wear the jersey to honour the aggressive style of hockey that he plays - not his aggressive stance on international diplomacy. Since when do we care what a Canadian hockey player thinks about world politics anyway?

I say we get a #16 Leafs jersey and put "Dubya" on the back.

Let's all do it!!!

If Darcy is so in tune with his political issues & beliefs - why doesn't he run for Mayor of T.O.
