The Weather Man

A Movie ReelThe Weather Man: 6.5 out of 10.

Some will tell you "The Weather Man" is a deep, introspective look at a man's struggle with striking a balance between professional and personal success. Taryn, for example, totally dug it. I, however, found it somewhat lacking and kind of depressing.

The Michael Caine parts are great, but the rest seemed a little flat and misguided. Focus Mr. Verbinski, focus!

Totally disagree, loved the urban jungle feel. Cage was the natural prey to the over worked, over stimulated, junk food medicated angry city dweller until he reversed the role and became the enlightened hunter. Love the scene of Cage strolling down the Chicago streets with his bow strapped to his back. And his speech at his father pre-funeral was tragic but necessary. Introspective humor and fine acting by everyone made this one of my year’s favorites.

Maybe it was all that schticky "hit by food" stuff that turned me off. Maybe it was too subtle for my tastes. Maybe it's just not as good as you say it is!

I thought that scene with Cage strolling the strets with his how strapped to his back was cool, but I just didn't love the whole as you did.

Does anyone want to break the tie?
