Getting The Call

phoneOk, it wasn't exactly a phone call. It was more of a request to call, and it was sent via the net. Right after I wrote this entry I received a note via my contact form. It read "Mikey, Give me a call .... very important! Tim 555-555-5555". I immediately dialed the ten digits to find out what was so important.

"What are you doing tomorrow night?", Tim asked.
"Nuthin'", I replied. My big plan for Wednesday night was watching the Leafs honour Mats Sundin with a ceremony prior to our game against the Colorado Avalanche.
"Want to go to the Leafs game?"

I'm pretty sure I answered with a positive because I'm wearing my #5 Bill Barilko jersey right now. When your captain scores his 500th goal in overtime to complete the hat trick, watching his ceremony on television just doesn't cut the mustard. I'll be there at the ACC to cover the event. I hear there's a little game with the Avs right afterwards, too.

Go Leafs Go!

Awesome, Mike. Now just fed-x me a ticket and I'll meet you there. :-)

Seriously, though, I'd of loved to be at opening night rather than watch it on TV. Even if they got spanked... for any kind of a pregame event like that, you just have to be there. I don't care which team it is, or which one you cheer for.
