Leafs

Wow, that was another thriller as we continue to live this glorious pipe dream.  When Matt Stajan scored that goal with 1:08 left in overtime you should have heard the scream I let out.  Hell, you probably did.

Although I usually defend Mats Sundin when people talk about cutting him loose, every once in a while I questioned his leadership.  Scrap that crap, the dude's a stud and we're way lucky to have him.  And Jean-Sebastien Aubin, where have you been all my life?  Nine games and not a single regular season loss... If we somehow slip into the playoffs, this guy will be immortalized and worshipped as a god in this city for all of eternity.

Let's take a look at the cold, hard facts, shall we?  Our hopes and dreams rely on the games involving the Tampa Bay Lightning, Atlanta Thrashers and our Toronto Maple Leafs.  With three games to play, Tampa Bay holds down the last playoff spot with 89 points, Atlanta is next with 87 and we have 86.  Tampa Bay is in Carolina tonight and I'll be rooting hard for the Hurricanes.  Carolina is only two points behind the Sens for first in the conference, so they have something to play for.  Go Canes Go!
