I was actually hoping we'd pull Jean-Sebastien Aubin in overtime and go for the win. Once it got to a shootout, I had little hope for victory. We're 3-7 in shootouts this year and we've yet to score a shootout goal on the road.
It's been a rough season, but there have been a couple of bright spots. Alexei Ponikarovsky is one. He scored his 21st goal last night.
