Asking The Anonymous HMV Manager

HMVI have a contact at HMV, the popular music and video store. My contact wishes to remain anonymous, but I can tell you that's he's a manager of a Toronto HMV. Periodically I'm going to ask questions of The Anonymous HMV Manager and I'll post his answers here.

I asked The Anonymous HMV Manager to list the top selling CDs in his store thus far in 2005. He ran a report and promptly replied with the top twenty. Here they are.

  1. Coldplay - X&Y
  2. Michael Buble - It's Time
  3. Il Divo - Il Divo
  4. The Killers - Hot Fuss
  5. Green Day - American Idiot
  6. Ray Charles - Genius Loves Company
  7. Jack Johnson - In Between Dreams
  8. Gwen Stefani - Love Angel
  9. Keane - Hopes & Fears
  10. Usher - Confessions
  11. Garden State - OST
  12. 50 Cent - Massacre
  13. U2 - How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
  14. Black Eyed Peas - Monkey Business
  15. Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway
  16. Alicia Keys - Diary
  17. Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane
  18. Bruce Springsteen - Devil's And Dust
  19. K-os - Joyful Rebellion
  20. Ray Charles - Very Best

I hadn't even heard of the band holding down the third spot.
