St. John's Maple Leafs 5, Cleveland Barons 4

The Blue and White Maple LeafBen Ondrus scored an empty-net goal with 30 seconds remaining that turned out to be the winner as the St. John's Maple Leafs edged the Cleveland Barons 5-4 in the AHL on Saturday night. Mikael Tellqvist was rested and Jean-Francois Racine played between his pipes. This explains the four goals against. Tellqvist has proven he's our man for the playoffs and potentially the heir apparent to Ed Belfour.
