A friend of mine recently lent me a few CDs he noticed weren't in my collection. I was appreciative, ripped them and listened. One was "The Mix" from Kraftwerk.
My only previous encounter with Kraftwerk was an episode of The Simpsons. In episode 3F19, "The Curse of the Flying Hellfish", a German baron declares that he "must get back to Dancecentrum in Stuttgart in time to see Kraftwerk". That was it. I had no idea what to expect when I listened to "The Mix" for the first time today.
To each his own and all that jazz, but this was so not my style. For my ears, it was virtually unlistenable. I want back the 90 MB it's hogging on my PC!
