I just submitted a song via the Smells Like Sour website for SLS12 consideration.
I submitted "Ocean Breathes Salty" by Modest Mouse, another good tune off of Good News For People Who Love Bad News. It's rather likely this song will make the cut when we make our final selection for SLS12 in late December.
In the spring, as we were paring down the songs for SLS12, we found we had a good trifecta of singles with an 80s-ish feel from Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers. Here we are, six months later, and it looks like we have another great trio of tunes from these same artists to lead the way. "Ocean Breaths Salty", "This Fire" and "Mr. Brightside" will be staples of the next edition.
It's deja vu all over again.
