Leafs win! Leafs win! Thanks to Eddie Belfour's 66th career shutout, the Leafs have crawled their way back to .500. Eternal optimists in the crowd will be quick to point out the Leafs are unbeaten in three.
Belfour's played two excellent games in a row. He's going to have to stay sharp for the surprisingly offense-less Leafs to keep their heads above water. Four games into the season the Leafs have managed to score a grand total of five goals. All star forwards Mats Sundin, Owen Nolan, Gary Roberts and Joe Nieuwendyk have combined for zero points. Perhaps we should thank our lucky stars we only have the one loss. Things could be a helluva lot worse.
