Super Mario Bros. 3 - I think video games lost something when they became as complex and detailed as they are today. I miss the innocence of the old 8 or 16 bit Nintendo systems. One of my favourite games was Super Mario Bros. 3, and I remember how proud I was the day I completed it for the first time. Now, somebody has beat it in eleven minutes and you can watch the whole thing in wide-eyed amazement. This video is an 18MB .wmv file, so dial-uppers may want to pass.

Mark Gowan Bio Page - You haven't heard of Mark Gowan, goaltender for the Wichita Thunder? I've been hearing about him for the better part of three decades. Then again, he is my cousin. Mark's pro career has taken him to Wichita by way of Colorado, Knoxville and Fresno. This proves that every Canadian family has at least one professional hockey player within its ranks.

CFL vs. NFL - With the 91st Grey Cup final getting underway today at 17:30 EST, it's a good time to brush up on your CFL rules. This most likely isn't an issue on the prairies where the CFL continues to thrive, but here in Toronto there are a number of people unsure of the rule differences between the CFL and NFL. This site spells out the differences so you can impress your friends at today's Grey Cup party.

Group Hug - One of the perks of Catholicism is confession. We can do pretty much anything, go to confession and be absolved of our sins. This website takes this Catholic institution and shares it with the masses. The idea is for anyone to anonymously confess to anything. Go ahead and try it. Trust me, you'll feel better.

Today's Front Pages - Updated every morning by 09:30, this website posts the front pages of 209 newspapers from 27 countries. The best part is they're presented alphabetically so you can see ten of Canada's most popular newspapers on the first page. Not only can you see the entire front page but you can download a PDF for closer viewing. Very cool stuff.
