I remember Night Rides, but the walks are cool! I've never seen these before.

I think they were used as an option of showing the multi-coloured screen at the end of the programming day.

My friends would come home, play prog music and flake out to this stuff or cartoons till we crashed.

I always wondered if it was a way of fulfilling any CanCon requirements with the CRTC. After all, if it was measured in actual broadcast time (minutes), more non-Canadian programming (read popular) could be bought by the programmer thereby increasing the eyeballs and ad revenue.

Just a wild theory.

If hazy memory recalls correctly, there was also a "night drive". Sadly, Global discontinued at some point and stuck in Tom Vu as a replacement.
