The Hateful Eight

So few directors can actually get me into a theatre these days, but Quentin Tarantino is definitely one of them. Without a doubt, he's my favourite director, and he's yet to disappoint me.

His latest film, The Hateful Eight, arrives in December. The teaser trailer was released today.

I tend to like QT's movies (not love them like you, Mike) but for the love of God, why does he have to cast Jackson in them? I can't stand that guy.

@Argie

Then you must love the Sam Jackson-free Reservoir Dogs.

Oh yeah, great movie. As was Inglorious Basterds.

But Samuel Jackson narrated the Basterds!

And really, Tarantino doesn't make awful movies. Even his not-so-great ones are leaps and bounds better than most other movies.

Have you posted a ranking of the previous 7? Curious as to your rankings.

Love his movies too AND I love Sam Jackson so I'm pretty excited as well.

While you wait for the Eight, try Slow West.
An excellent first film from John Maclean starring Michael Fassbender. Tarantino-esque humour/violence and characters, Coen Brothers-ish story, Wes Anderson like colour and cinematography. A British/New Zealand co-production, Scotland and New Zealand make for a beautiful American West. Great original soundtrack too.

This looks great. Unfortunately, this also means only two more moving from Quentin before he retires!
