Tommy RamoneTommy Ramone was 65. He was the last surviving founding member of seminal punk band The Ramones.

I wrote a little about the sad curse of The Ramones here.

The Ramones were punk and yet seemed to be so much more.
Something special about them.
Joey especially but as a group they had an aura.

I think it is more attributed to their lifestyle than related to a curse.

Lifestyle may have played a part, but at least they didn't all OD. Anyone can get cancer.

Its hard to believe that's it for the Ramones. All dead.
Pretty hard to believe that Keith Richards has out lived all of them.

@ 519 Rob - I wish I still had the link...

I read an article a few months back about the surprising number of people Keith Richards has outlived...you look at how many of his contemporaries form the 60's and 70's who are no longer with us..it boggles the mind.

I for one think that Richards has been dead for 20 years and it's a combination of the booze preserving his body and the drugs keeping his nervous system firing...kinda like auto pilot :)
