Do you think Team Telefonica will win the Volvo Ocean Race or does Camper Emirates Team NZ have a chance?!

Luke

I believe, H&F are the only 2 A-holes on internet radio ...will this make the cut?

Toronto Mike
February 10, 2012 / 13:35

@Luke

I'd never delete a comment b/c I disagree with someone's opinion. Never have, never will.

I might not agree with your opinion that Humble and Fred are the two biggest assholes on internet radio, but I'll defend your right to express it.

Out of curiosity, why do you think that?

Will the Leafs make the playoffs?

Toronto Mike
February 10, 2012 / 13:38

@Geoff

Iker Martínez de Lizarduy is having quite the year, isn't he?

Put all your money on Team Telefonica. Trust me.

@Sam in Pickering

I'm none too pleased with this two game skid. It's going to be a dogfight to the end, but I believe we can finish 7th or 8th. I'm hoping Burke adds another part at the deadline... a big forward would be nice.

Can't believe how much I am loving The Wire....Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are on HBO on demand right now. Wish I had listened to you sooner!

@Alison

I can't believe you didn't listen to me sooner.

@Mike, I was just testin' your delete button - actually these two dudes are pretty good at what they do!

Truthfully, how much $$$ is Rogers paying Humble and Fred?

Geoff
February 10, 2012 / 15:45

Good one Mike! I'm sure you don't follow it but it is nice to see a Spaniard kicking some ass (even if his crew and all the other crews are mainly Kiwis).

Thank you for supporting me.

I hope the Leafs don't make the playoffs, but it looks like my Habs won't and in basketball, my Phoenix Suns won't make the playoffs. Oh well, not a good year for sports, that's for sure. Go Habs. Go Suns.

@Cheryl

As my previous comment, you must go to church to pray for your HAB nots. I see Gomez got a goal last night - 1st in 369 days at $7.5 Million a season. If he scores 2 this year is that worth $15 Million.

Has Mayor Ford ridden public transit (including the Eglinton East bus) more often this week, than some of his haters here?

That's the only Ford 'Blue' - 'light' event I know of.

Toronto Mike

@CQ

Yes, I'll be attending Ford's Blue Party tonight, but you already know that.

I like the folks at Ford and they know how to throw a party. It should be fun.

yes to Subways
H&F are better than ever !!
As for the habs, it will take a few years to dig themselves out of that hole..
The Winter Classic : would love to go, but my guess is that corporate america and regular seasons ticket holders from both teams will prevent the average joe from getting a ticket.

Cheryl
February 10, 2012 / 20:53

Well, it's really awful. My Habs are in a deep hole and this sucks. I sure hope this won't mean the Leafs will win the cup.

Am I the only one who thinks Karen Stintz in one hot MILF?

@Mike

I do not buy the fact that Rogers is doing all this publicity for H+F from the goodness of their heart. They don't do anything for free. One day they will want the favour returned.

Kids, don't bitch about your parents on facebook!

Gump, she's hotter in Under cover Boss, Sarah Palin like.
Sammi, I'm with you, like a pimp grooming one of his girls. Love H&F, hope they don't lose their free spirited program to a corporate disciplinarian.

As for the Subway debate, just check out the Scarborough LRT and how it is working out, barely lasted 25 to 30 years, meanwhile the subway has almost 60 years or more going in it's favour. May cost more up front but the long term (which Stintz and company aren't considering) pay back is proven.
With Mike's Flash Freeze theme here, a surface system would be severely handicapped if it got stormy.

Toronto Mike
February 10, 2012 / 22:40

@Sammi

Well, they do have Humble and Fred content in their Rogers player / app. And all those online links point there, not to HumbleandFredRadio.com.

So it's not out of the goodness of their hearts. They get something in return.

Watching a Sundin special on leafs tv. Forgot how great the Sundin, Roberts, Mogilny line was.

That Stintz woman is a bit of a two face though. Saw a picture of her yesterday and she wasn't looking as hot as the wiki picture.

Mike: is Sue still alive and kicking. It's been a week and I haven't heard anything else on her.

You think you are going go be prepared for when your Dad passes on but you never are. What a huge void to overcome. Especially a dad that coached your kids with you for the past 20 years.

Cheryl

Well, I sure hope the Habs beat the Leafs tonight. That would be good. Go habs.

Pigeon Toed Dave, my condolences on the loss of your father. I've found as I am getting older my father is a true friend, and not just my parent.

Pigeon Toed Dave, I'll echo Rick C. I doubt he'll mind. My condolences on the loss of your father. I've found as I am getting older my father is a true friend, and not just my parent.

David

@ Pigeon Toed Dave

My condolences also.

I lost my dad when I was 21 and he was 65. I, like most other young people, never appreciated my parents as much then as I do now.

May your memories be rich and happy.

@Pigeon Toed Dave

We have to appreciate everything in life. I lost both my parents before I was 35 years old within 2 years & my wife lost her Dad when she was 23 - he was 50 (accident on XMAS day). My kids have NEVER had a Grandfather which is unfortunate.

Live life day by day as we don't what's going to happen tomorrow.

My condolences & Stay Strong.

Mike, who do you think would win in a fight, Bruce Lee or Mike Tyson?

Bruce Lee. No contest.

Well, my habs won. How about those Habs beating up on the Leafs 5 to 0. This is wonderful. Go Habs, and my Phoenix Suns won last night as well in basketball.

David
February 12, 2012 / 14:59

And no "jinx" this time. They lost just by being themselves.

Toronto Mike
February 12, 2012 / 15:18

Yep. They did it all by themselves.

At 3-0, I couldn't take it any more. I ended up watching The Descendants. Great film.

Cheryl
February 12, 2012 / 15:36

Oh, you guys, it was a great game. My Habs won. A good team won for a change, all the good guys. Get used to it. Go Habs. Ole ole.

At this point I'm so desperate to watch playoff Leafs hockey with my kids. My son was 2 last time we were in the playoffs. My daughter has never been alive for a playoff game, and she's going to turn 8 soon.

It's been far too long, and now it looks like we'll have to wait yet another year. I'm tired of waiting.

Nothing to say after last night.

As usual Leafs will take a run for a playoff spot in last 5-6 weeks & they will fall short AGAIN.

At least I was able to see them win Lord Stanley in 67' & attend the parade. NOT gonna see it in my lifetime again.

Cheryl
February 13, 2012 / 16:43

The Habs will make a playoff run and go deep into the playoffs. Now they are back to winning again. This is great. Go Habs.
