I've been watching The Corner on HBO Canada. The Corner originally aired in 2000 and was a pre-cursor of sorts to The Wire, The Greatest Show On Television, Ever™. Naturally, when watching The Corner, I think a lot about The Wire.

Thinking about The Wire always gets me thinking about The Pogues' Body of an American. Damn I love this song.

OK, so I just got through The Wire, Season 2. I am ashamed to admit that I Feel Alright by Steve Earle somehow got by me in 1996. I absolutely fuckin' loved it combined with the finale.

Couple of other points:
Best Actor, Season 2: Chris Bauer as Frank Sobotka.
Honorable mention to Dominic West/Jimmy McNulty.
Best Line, Season 2: They can chew you up but they gotta spit you back out - Jimmy McNulty

Netflix can't get Season 3 to me fast enough.
