Montreal Expos Tribute Video

Published by Toronto Mike on August 6, 2010 @ 17:46 in Sports

exposIt's hard to believe it's been six years since the Expos played in Montreal. Annakin Slayd put together a nice little tribute he calls "Remember (A Tribute to the Montreal Expos)".

I like the use of the TWIB theme.

Yeah, that was pretty awesome. I remember at least casually caring about how they were faring.

Ah well, c'est la vie, I suppose.

The Washington Post writes about honouring Andre Dawson an Expo. Some Nationals fans think they should forget about where their team came from.

I picked up the link from Fagstiens's twitter feed.

Really well done video of the Expos through the years. I was born and bred in Montreal and never missed a game, even sneaking a transistor radio into weddings and bar-mitzvah's. So many things transpired for the Expos to lose their team that they are too numerous to mention. It was a combination of bad luck (strike years), Corporate and gov't apathy, and greed (Hello Brochu and Loria). The memories though will always be there for me.

Btw, Raines in the HOF 2011. It is long overdue and he was clearly the best Expo ever and is more than deserving.
