Lost Finale: The Promo, The Plan and The Hope

Published by Toronto Mike on May 16, 2010 @ 11:40 in Television

tvI'm all caught up. I just watched the Man in Black and Jacob episode that explains the origin of The Monster.

The second last episode will air Tuesday night. It's called "What They Died For". The 2.5 hour series finale airs next Sunday. It's aptly titled "The End".

Here's a home brewed promo for next Sunday's Lost finale. It's airing at 9, so I'm thinking I should start it at 9:50 to finish close to real-time without ads. Note to self: avoid Twitter at 9 sharp to avoid spoilers.

I hope they don't fuck it up.

The Lost finale airs on my birthday, but of course while I'm at work. I will have my PVR set to record, including the shows after, in case it runs long. And I will be studiously avoiding Twitter or any other social network until I can get home and watch.

It is going to piss a lot of people off. No matter what they do.

Fanboy types are too hard to please. They start to decide what they want to happen and if it doesn't everyone else is just an idiot.

I avoid reading internet forums about it just for that reason. They can ruin it for others.

The whole thing was Vincent's dream.

I am feeling some anxiety about the series finale already. I dont' think it is because I will mourn for the absence of there characters from my weekly Tv lineup but rather that I "know" I will be disappointed and most probably underwhelmed.
I almost think the series itself has been so hyped up and so promoted that no matter how good the end of the journey is it will not live up to my epic expectations.
