I know - I'm usually into my fourth viewing by now but I've been in a debate about the relative offensiveness of blackface. Sorry.

You know what Wendel would have done to those two Habs fans in blackface...

Mike, I hope you are referring to the greatest one as Gretzky and Clark as just the great one.
There is no comparison, Wayne Gretzky is and always will be the single greatest hockey player of our time.

BBM - seriously? Are you mental?

Who gives a cr*p about the great one? He will never be as loved as Wendel was/is in Toronto.

Toronto Mike I can't seem to find Jean Beliveau in your photo with Gretzky.

Why are the Leafs like CFNY. They haven't been great for 20 years. Bet you wish you had a CURRENT player that was good.

Irvine - Phil Kessel, Dion Phaneuf and Tomas Kaberle are star players on any team.

#17 does not play anymore as he would threaten the life of any player he hits. He's that good.

@Elvis, maybe Wendel was the greatest LEaf but not the greatest hockey player ever, if thats the context fine, I get it, but Wendal was no where close to greatest in the league, that title will always be Waynes.

Wendel was way over rated. I'm a Leaf fan and I couldn't stand him.

His Cy Young numbers, his constant injuries, his frequent floating shifts and his taking dumb penalties were more than I could take.

Oh, and he was just plain stupid - a bag of hammers.
