rewindAllow me a moment to explain the current header. In case you're reading this long after it's gone, here's what was at the top of this site at the time of this writing.

That's Barbapapa and Barbamama, and if you were a kid in the late 70s and early 80s watching TVO, you know them from Barbapapa. I loved that show, even more than Jeremy the Bear and almost as much as I loved Fables of the Green Forest.

ahhh, memories... *sigh* TVO had such great programming. Remember Willo the Wisp?

I used to watch Prisoners of Gravity all the time. It really kindled my love of sf and reading-- and inspired me to write it, too.

TVO has all the episodes locked away in a vault somewhere. They aren't allowed to release them on DVD or rebroadcast them on Space, though. When the show was made, many of the guests appeared based on "this'll only be shown on the public television network, TVO" contract. So they'd either have to track down and re-negotiate with hundreds of guests (some of whom are dead or otherwise unreachable), a near impossible task-- or release the episodes with entire segments chopped out (not desirable for fans).

I'm the bear called Jeremy.
I can do most anything.
I can play and I can sing,
I can do most anything!

I've had to prove that I didn't make up the words "Clicky-click Barba Trick" to a few people. When I explained where is was from they thought I made it up.

I remember watching Jeremy, too, and getting annoyed sometimes when I realized it was the French version!

The stories you read about all come to life
Oh yes the stories you read about all. come. to. life.

I can't believe how much crap is still in my head after 40 years.
