For shame! :) J.D.'s best non-appearance was in the film "Field of Dreams", after being the "author" in W.P. Kinsella's "Shoeless Joe Jackson". (Portrayed as Terence Mann by James Earl Jones in film.) Loved the movie...... but the novel was even better!
