In MemoriumVic Chesnutt was 45. He was the acclaimed singer-songwriter who built a devoted following with his folk-rock songs, many of which dealt eloquently with themes of pain and mortality.

Wow. I had never heard of him until watching LIVE's MTV Unplugged show back in the early/mid '90s. They covered Supernatural and Ed said something to the effect of "That song was written by Vic Chesnutt of Athens, Georgia. Absolutely the most beautiful song ever written."
