Second Harvest Turkey Drive

foodMy son and I are spending our Sunday at the Queens Quay Loblaws at 10 Lower Jarvis Street. We're volunteering with Second Harvest, asking Loblaws customers to purchase and donate a turkey to Second Harvest.

Second Harvest is a charity that picks up fresh food, which would have gone to waste, and delivers that food to social service agencies. The turkeys are going to be delivered – in time for the holidays – to shelters, drop-in centres, and community centres throughout the GTA. We're aiming to collect 6000 turkeys, because that's how many we need.

This weekend, come to Loblaws and donate a turkey. If you come to the Queens Quay Loblaws between 9am and 1:30pm, say hi to my son and I.
