Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis

ChristmasIn the spirit of the season, I've kept all the MP3s I've shared this month online, so if you visit the Weekly MP3 category page you can help yourself.

Yesterday, I shared my favourite Christmas song of all. It's Fairytale of New York by The Pogues with Kirsty MacColl. Howard left a comment about that song and Tom Waits' Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis, another under-appreciated holiday gem.

Here's Tom Waits performing Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis with a sweet Silent Night intro. Merry Christmas, all.

1 Of best songwriters ever even though I don't like his music overall. Tells a great story much like Bob Dylan who is probably the best.
