Bohemian Rhapsody by The Muppets

musicI have vivid memories of discovering Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Yes, it was years before Wayne's World brought the song to a new generation. I discovered it in the best possible way. I started playing vinyl records found in my old man's collection.

I also have vivid memories of discovering The Muppets. I was very familiar with Sesame Street, having been raised on the show, but I first discovered The Muppets when I stumbled upon The Muppet Movie in the very early 80s.

I loved Bohemian Rhapsody and I loved The Muppets. And yes, I love Bohemian Rhapsody by The Muppets.

Saw Queen perform in Montreal on November 24 1981. It was my second year in college, CEGEP in Quebec, studying TV, film & audio. The performances were documented on 35mm film for the eventual released as We Will Rock You DVD. My friend Stuart and I sat right near one of the cameras. What a thrill.

Hard to believe it was 28 year ago tomorrow & 18 years ago on Thursday since Freddy Mercury passed away.

I bought (the week they were released)in secession, from their first release, Queen 1975 to Jazz 1978. Had tickets to see them in Kitchener in around 1975 and they canceled. By the late 70's I was listening to punk and all the fools that mocked me for liking Queen in the early 70's were into Queen and mocking me for listening to the Punk. lol

I have fond memories of discovering Queen. I think I tried by first beer around the same time. I also have fond memories of my sister watching the Muppets on Seasame Street 3 times a day.
