The Only Existing Film Images of Anne Frank

XXXThere is now an official Anne Frank channel on YouTube. Amongst the videos you'll find there is the only existing film footage of Anne Frank.

July 22 1941. The girl next door is getting married. Anne Frank is leaning out of the window of her house in Amsterdam to get a good look at the bride and groom. It is the only time Anne Frank has ever been captured on film. At the time of her wedding, the bride lived on the second floor at Merwedeplein 39. The Frank family lived at number 37, also on the second floor. The Anne Frank House can offer you this film footage thanks to the cooperation of the couple.

Here's the video of Anne.

You can learn more about Anne Frank at the official Anne Frank House website.

Eerie seeing the footage of her looking out the window.

Toronto should look to more dense housing like in the footage. Much nicer than the towers of poverty that are all over the city.

Funny, but weren't photographs taken on film back in those days? I'm pretty sure there's a photograph of Anne Frank on the cover of every copy of her diary.

Just sayin'...

This is the only existing moving image of Anne Frank.

Sure, we've seen still photos, they are on the cover of every copy of her diary, but this is the only video.

Just sayin'...
