Leafs 1, Avalanche 4

Leafs BlogI'm not sure what to say. The Maple Leafs (0-5-1) have yet to score first this season, rank last in the NHL on the penalty kill with 10 power-play goals surrendered, and have held the lead for exactly six minutes 41 seconds through the first six games - all losses.

I think I'll let my tweet from last night do the rest of the talking .

Once again Komisarek takes bad penalty at a bad time. It is starting to become clear why Montreal was glad to see him go.

Hector - my friends who are Habs fans all responded to my smiles about the signing with something to the effect of "wait and see if your saying that by april". Sadly it didn't take that long.... Burke built the expectations too high.

Why do people pay money to boo? They know what they're going to see...the on ice product has not changed in years.

Far be it from me to knock the leafs, but... flip 'em over. They're done. Well done.

On the other hand, this might just be the year we finally go all the way!

(All the way to the bottom that is, for top draft picks...)

That's how horribly dysfunctional this team of ours is.

This is the season we figure out how to really lose to secure a top draft pick, and this is the year our 1st round pick belongs to another team. Oh yeah, and our next year's pick as well.

We should have done this last season when the top 3 picks were studs.

better to tank early in the season and (hopefully) build to level of competence...jays started out very strong then we watched as the season slowly died...i felt cheated
