And the Grass Trimmer / Edger Goes To...

Canadian Tire61 of you entered to win a lithium-ion grass trimmer / edger from Canadian Tire. Each eligible participant was given a number in the order the comment was left. Then, I asked my wife to pick a number between 1 and 61. She picked 52.

That made Rob S. the big winner. I wrote Rob to let him know he won and asked him to tell us a bit about himself.

I am a chef who works in a small independent restaurant in Markham. On the side I am an avid golfer and blog/Twitter addict. I entered this contest for my Dad who has a big lawn and would appreciate having a cordless trimmer for his bad back. I know he'll love it, Thanks Mike!

Thanks to Canadian Tire for shipping Rob the grass trimmer / edger and thanks to everyone who entered. On a personal note, it was pretty neat reading how regulars discovered this little hobby of mine and what kept them coming back.

Hopefully, there will be more of these giveaways in the future.

This was fun. And I think the marketing worked as I needed to buy a fishing rod Saturday and we ended up going to the Canadian Tire store. A week ago I don't think it would have been my first choice.

Scout's honour, I had no idea who Rob S was. We've never met.

I was worried my mom would win the draw and then you'd all tell me the fix was in.

There were actually three Robs in the draw, so I had to make sure I emailed the right one.
