Perhaps this is where I make mention that I was never a H&F radio fan. Yet, I enjoy Fred's blog topics for the most part. And they have deservedly done very well(!) without little nobody me :)

By the way, I gave the new EZ Rock - the casual & friendly music station - a try. At the hour of midnight a female DJ was talking out some poor widow caller's grief, then upon waking at around 7:30, it was only 2 or 3 minutes before the morning crew began with gossipy masturbation chat about some young male singer.
In general, Rock Pop or Dance at any hour, I just want someone who doesn't chat excessively and sounds whole-heartedly welcoming to everyone as I vaguely recall yesteryear on-air talent like John Mahjors or Wally Crouter. Perhaps that would be Roger Ashby if I liked or understood CHUM-fm's musical style. Mp3s and music blogs mean I have somewhere else to enjoy the music.

While commenting, I should also state a liking of Giant-fm's superb playlist except that it is far too jumpy. Every early 80s song seems jarringly followed by a hippy early 70s tune; every single time - so there is never a listening groove to fall into for 20 or 40 minutes.

I was a Q guy, so don't have a lot of H&F memories, but really looking forward to this Podcast.

Damn! Had all intentions going to it but, family comes first as I mentioned on Howard's blog.
