Travis Snider: Rookie of the Year

Published by Toronto Mike on April 14, 2009 @ 09:29 in Toronto Blue Jays

Blue JaysBlue Jays rookie Travis Snider hit two home runs last night, including a go-ahead two-run shot in the eighth inning, as we rallied to beat the Minnesota Twins 8-6. Although it's awfully early, I've seen enough of Travis Snider to know he's got the stuff. I'm talking about the good stuff, the stuff that makes you a great major league hitter. Snider will be the American League Rookie of the Year.

Our Jays, by the way, are 6-2, good for first place in the tough AL East. Never underestimate the power of Cito. Never.

I will wait for the Cito bashers to come out. I never understood why they hate on him so much.

It is too early to tell how this season will go down but a 6-2 start is always nice. Now I got to find a weekend to take my boys to a game.

the key is 6-2, still early, but I have watched 6 of those 8 games on the satelite dish and after last nights game they were down 6-3, I didnt turn it off. They came back and won thanks to ....Sniderman, that has a ring to it.
Different feel with this team....After Tampa last year, nothing is impossible.
