Published by Toronto Mike on April 15, 2009 @ 09:46 in Humble and Fred

microphoneI'm going to interview Humble and Fred before their 20th Anniversary Podcast of Memories on May 2. They've promised to be as honest and open as possible, so this will be fun.

I've got some questions lined up, but I'd love to hear what you'd like asked. If you have a question for Humble and/or Fred that you'd like me to ask during my interview with the boys, please drop 'em in the comments.

You might want to check out what I've asked them in the past. Here are those interviews.

What was going thru their minds during the bit where Jessica the traffic girl had a threesome with her boyfriend and another girl.
Why did the bit end with a restaurant metaphor?

When are you going to go away?

Elvis, they're sick of hearing that one. Let's come up with new questions...

I was talking about you.

I kid, I kid.

Question: Where do you see radio in 5 to 10 years? Will terresterial radio survive in its current format or will satellite radio finally live up to the hype and replace it? Better yet, what about podcasts? Do you think they have the ability to be the radio-on-demand customers want?

How about expanding that question to include steaming radio. Just look at all of the latest generation of cell phones with the 3G technology. Will towers and Transmitters die out?
What role do you think the CRTC should play in protecting CANCON against this technology?

I know hindsight is always 20/20 but is there any regrets about going to The Mix seeing what transpired especially with how successful MOJO had been or seemed to have been? It seems like if they had stayed at MOJO they would have probably still been on the air...

I have a question: How often do they think of me (Argie) during the day? Do they talk about me (Argie) to their families and friends?

Argie,
I can't speak for Fred but I think of you 16.5 times a day.
As for my family?
The simple answer:Yes.
In fact I was just talking to one of my daughters (Argette) who said to me,"Daddy I wonder what Argie's doing?"
I of course could only answer, "The Lords work sweetie, the Lords work.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 2nd,
Humble Argie

Humble,

I'm sure there's some truth to your post but unfortunately I will not be able to attend. I will however make sure to listen to the podcast.

God speed, my friend, God speed!

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think it's all been covered.

UNLESS they can tell me where Pete Fowler is... and what ever happened to Marla West... the REAL Queen of Traffic.

Jason, there's two good questions right there. Clearly it hasn't all been covered!

C'mon guys, we can do better. These two guys have been around the Toronto radio scene for decades. There's got to be good questions regarding their years on CFNY, things you've always been curious about.

Keep 'em coming.

Marla, is she the one that said "THE QUEENY" instead of the Queen E or the Q E ?

Here's one, Where do you think Lowville really is?

I don't recall that... not sure... I barely remember what she looks like... I met her once in my CFNY-inhaling, snapple-drinking Seinfeld-watching days.

How much is the Humble and Fred Stock worth today during the recession?
