I love baseball, and like a patriotic fool, I was starting to dig this tournament. 2 and out with a loss to Italy? Just shoot me. Horonymous Perhaps the Italian amateur sports receives money and support from the many coalition governments in Italy. The WBC was a joke before this game. I'm Italian but even I think having a guy named COOPER on Team Italia is just wrong. Even better is that most of these guys only play baseball on the WEEKENDS in Italy. HAHAHAHAHA! Buffalo Boy Mike Who the hell plays for Italy that is of any importance? Maybe the Jays can find a Starter or two there Toronto Mike The Cat plays for Italy, but that's the only player I recognized. Mississauga Mike I've done no-research on the matter, but was Mike Piazza on the bench as a coach? That was depressing, it was like watching a midseason Jays game. :(

I can understand Canada losing to Italy in soccer. In fact, I'd expect that. I'd also expect to lose to Italy in pizza dough throwing. As I type, however, Canada is losing to Italy in the World Baseball Classic at the ballpark formerly known as Skydome. That's unacceptable.
