CN Tower Earth Hour 2009 made for some nice photos at The Big Picture.

Earth Hour must have been a big success, b/c the Toronto Star said so in a big ass font on their front page.

Looks like the CN Tower is the only difference?

Nice people nice, Buffalo was pitch dark during Earth Hour ya know.

Total failure if you ask me - I think it was Manitoba (somewhere out west) actually recorded an INCREASE in power from 830-930.

Hopefully it'll catch on...year round.

Doesn't seem to be much difference between the lights that are on in the two pictures.
Why aren't lights in the towers reduced every night?

Toronto was the least visual city changing during Earth Hr.

Buffalo was pitch black? I guess they finally put out the fires.
