twitterThe fake Brian Burke on Twitter is dead. Down Goes Brown just made the announcement.

I first wrote about the fake Brian Burke on Twitter back in January. At the time, it was a joke shared by a few that struck my funny bone.

Since that entry, I've read about the fake Brian Burke on Twitter all over the place. Just the other day Damien Cox wrote about it and quoted Brian Burke as saying he might sue. It's no longer our little secret, and now the fun is over.

Rest in peace, fake Brian Burke on Twitter. I, for one, will never forget you.

Crap I loved that twitter account :( Well I can see why he's wrapping it up and it was fun. His blog is great and is now a favourite of mine.

And there's quite a few fake hockey accounts out there Bettmans is pretty good sometimes.

Ok I went to down goes brown and followed link and now I'm a blogger too. I have NOTHING to say but I figure I might as well say it on the internets. :)

Thanks Mike... You were one of the first to publicize the Burke account, and it wouldn't have been as popular without you.

And I'll be telling Burke's lawyers that when they come after me. You're all going down with me.
