Mike Myers is an Inglourious Basterd

moviesI love Quentin Tarantino movies, and I think there's a local law that states you have to love Scarberian Mike Myers. I mean, the guy named his dogs Gilmour and Borchevsky and managed to get a club named Gasworks into a major motion picture.

I like Quentin Tarantino and I like Mike Myers, but the two would never work together. Myers doesn't appear in Tarantino-type films...

Except it's happening! For real... I was just reading all about Tarantino's new film, Inglourious Basterds, and I learnt Mike Myers plays General Ed Fenech, a British "military mastermind" who provides a plot to kill Nazi leadership.

Inglourious Basterds might be just what the doctor ordered to wash the bad taste The Love Guru has left in our mouths.

Is it weird I was more excited about Brad Pitt being in a Tarantino movie?

I just hear that Myers is a tool. He is the "no eye" contact type of guy. I used to really like him but his movies in the last 10 years have all been absolute crap (Shrek excepted).

Yeah Andrew, I heard the same thing. My cousin worked as a grip or something on one of Meyer's movies and apparently he is a real a$$. None of the people working on the movie were allowed to talk to him. I think at one point they even stopped the lighting and electrical guys from setting up lights in one area because Meyers was going to be walking through that area and he didn't want anyone to talk to him. Maybe he's fed up being nice to people.

Too bad. He seemed like a really nice guy - only when cameras are rolling, I guess.

You've gotta be kidding - Myers as a General? He lost me after Wayne's Power Minute (anyone remember that?) and Wayne's World.

Damn, that sucks. I always hoped Mike Myers was as down to earth and decent as he pretended to be.
