Maple Leafs 5, Canadiens 2

I'd like to table something I've been thinking about for a while. In many regards, this is the greatest Leafs season a Leafs fan could possibly hope for. Allow me to explain...
We're all okay with losing this season, so we find a silver lining when the Sabres cream us 5-0. In a typical season, we'd have hated that game. It likely would have bummed me out for days. But this year, it was like water off a duck's back. In fact, I spun it as a positive.
Then, there are nights like last night. We beat the Habs in Montreal on a Saturday night. Young Jedi Luke Schenn scored his first NHL goal, the Jason Blake showcase continued and Tosky looked good. I enjoyed the win.
That means I'm now enjoying wins and losses, and that makes this the greatest Maple Leaf season in the history of the franchise. We can't lose.
| Current Record | Last Games | Season Leaders |
|---|---|---|
| 20-24-9 49 points 4th in Northeast Division |
5-2 Win vs. Montreal 5-0 Loss vs. Buffalo 4-3 OTL vs. Florida |

I'd bet a season which ended with a Stanley Cup was better. I don't know for sure, since I wasn't alive back then. Still, this season is very interesting for a losing season.
