Maple Leafs 1, Penguins 4

Sidney Crosby's timing is impeccable. He managed to score his 100th NHL goal, 200th assist and 300th career points against us last night. His planning is meticulous, but of course, when you nail down that 100th goal and 200th assist, it's almost impossible not to secure that 300th point.
Yesterday I gave the "cup half full" crowd their positives, so now it's a reality check for the realists amongst us.
- The Leafs have lost four games in a row
- The Leafs have only scored nine goals all season
- The Leafs have not been competitive during a Hockey Night in Canada telecast with that new theme song
- Despite a surprise opening night victory in Detroit, it is as bad as I thought it would be
It's going to be a long season, folks.

It's not as bad as it could be. There is development among the younger players that is positive. We knew they would struggle to score and we knew they would get "hammered" in some games. Even with the losing record, they are playing a hard game which is more than we got from the last 3-4 leaf teams.
