VideoSpacing Toronto just tipped me off about this very cool time-lapse video of our new scramble intersection of Yonge and Dundas. It's by Sam Javanrouh.

AWESOME! Looking forward to doing it... notice how people are crossing when they aren't suppose to be ... at least, my understanding was no crossing until the scramble for pedestrians.

That's what I thought too Voice. I also could've sworn I saw one or two people crossing multiple times, apparently just for the novelty of it. There's also a traffic cop (I assume) there. I wonder if that's a permanent feature, or just until people get the hang of the intersection?

pedestrians can cross at all signals intervals since there are no left or right turns allowed at Yonge and Dundas. I find the scramble is the perfect valve for the pedestrian gridlock that happens at this intersection.
