Dove's Onslaught ad was pretty effective, but so is this video from Greenpeace.

27 Responses to "Dove Onslaught(er)"Jason | GetYourOJ.com I guess as a member I should say we. Good commerical guys Informed Yes Jason Greenpeace does it again. They fail to inform properly or listen. They put their propaganda spin on a consumable item. They go after large corporations who have money and will fight them so they can promote their causes. What's next the Beetles that are eating away at and doing more damage then any logging company could ever achieve in Vancouver's rain forest. Wait, no they can't fight back or promote the ill-informed cause so why bother. The Beetle's carbon footprint is larger and more destructive then any corporation. This whole thing is total crap as every single one of "you" uses soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, gets dressed every day, eats etc... and oh yes produces your own carbon footprint that is destroying the planet. So before you applaud the ignorance of one group maybe you should open your eyes to both sides Greenpeace's spin and the truth. We're all destroying the planet, so let's just accept it. Let's not try to do anything to stop it because everything is propaganda for one cause or another. There is no such thing as unbiased anymore, everything has a slant. Even Mr. Informed's comment above has a slant so should we disregard his message? Yes, that's what we should do, disregard anyone's and everyone's opinion because chances are, they have a hidden agenda. If we all do that then we can live our content, oblivious lives in peace (or war, who cares?) and fuck the planet and/or the human race. That's better. Jason | GetYourOJ.com My hideden agenda is to save trees. Someone who won;t even say who they are coming up with the excuse that beetles are doing worse things than us humans, so therefore we should just keep going as always and allow 'cororations with money' to destroy trees and drive animals from their homes. yeah, sounds like i should should just drop the issue and pick up a case load of kleenex and some dove on the way home. Sounds like you might work for one of these companies still 'waiting for results' Andrew Cancer kills more people than guns. So killing people with guns is okay. We can't stop cancer so why stop the murderers. Extreme example but the same argument. howard I think Boon has a Beetle fetish and should be stopped at all cost. Toronto Mike See, targeted marketing does work! I hope you clicked for the free credit report. Save the beetles! Jason | GetYourOJ.com Andrew thank you for illustrating how much of an idiot out anti eco-warrior is. Thats is her poor argument, exactly! Free credit report? Didn't see such a thing? And yeah, the people of Indonesia thank you for not gutting thier forest, Howard. SoccerMom Jason are you a Greenpeace member? I question because you have stooped to their level of mud slinging and name calling in order to try to make your point or to have people see it your way. There are two sides and being close minded, calling others names and throwing a temper tamtrum is not the way to get your point of view across. Educated rebuttal is however. Let it Be Beetles scare me. Hey, that credit report is not really free!!! Anytime i am asked for a credit card number I close the site and move on. But you got my click. Oh yeah, that commercial was good. But there is two sides to every story. Let's ask Michael Moore. He's objective. Jason | GetYourOJ.com Where is the harm in pointing out the hypocricy of the Dove ad campaign and the realities of what that company DOES do? Seems weird for them to be talking about "inner beauty" when they don't respect the Earth's limitations. I already admitted to being a member. So was Bob Hunter. Is that OK? Toronto Mike SoccerMom, John was the greatest Beetle. I'll never forget when Mr. Burns disguised himself as Wavy Gravy to infiltrate and destroy a Greenpeace ship that was attempting to stop the dumping of nuclear waste. "The man you trusted wasn't Wavy Gravy at all! And all this time, I've been smoking harmless tobacco." If I buy a McDonald's hamburger, am I a slave to the corporate monster? When I wash myself with soap in the shower, do I therefore have no right to protest against such things as the desecration of Indonesia's lowlands?? We live with what is around us. We buy things from large corporations every single day. But we do not have to support how they go about achieving their corporate goals ($$$$) Jason may have an agenda, but with all the crappy agendas out there, I'll take it. Here's to a better tomorrow. I'm not showering for 4 weeks. Jason | GetYourOJ.com Dove deserves to be picked on for the Slim Fast issue alone. I do have an agenda. You don't have to not shower for four weeks, just don't water your sidewalk or run the tap while you're brushing. John was the best Beatle, hands down. howard Mike is sorta funny. Soccer Mom is the real deal and I buried Paul. Toronto Mike 22 comments on a single entry? That's double the comments on all of humblehoward.com. I rule the blogosphere! Free credit checks for everyone! Toronto Mike And speaking of saving these beetles, which is still a priority of mine, here's a Korean baby singing Hey Jude. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=29222505 howard "That's double all the comments on humblehoward.com!" SoccerMom hahahah h you crack me up you always have you always will!! One thing should that not be ~ Yoko Boono... LoL
Jason | GetYourOJ.com Howard, you sound like Fred. By the way, thanks for putting up with him all those years.
