2008 Playoff Pool: Day Eleven

Puck

First round picks in the draft should be high scorers from team you strongly believe will make it out of the first round.  Crosby and Zetterberg went first overall.  If you're going to win the pool, you're looking for at least a dozen points out of that guy.  Heck, even if your #1 guy gets upset in the first round, you should still get 6 or so point out of him.

The Avalanche took out the Wild last night, and Gaborik got his first point of the series with an assist on Minnesota's only goal.  Pops picked Gaborik with his first pick, and barely avoided a shutout.  If you're wondering why the Wild aren't moving on, look no further than the disappearance of Marian Gaborik.
