Q107 Ad From 1983

memoryYouTube user WNED17 recently uploaded some fantastic retro-Toronto-centric gems. These clips have brought back a tonne of memories for me, so I'm going to feature them one by one over the next few weeks.

I wasn't listening to Q107 in 1983. At that time, I was a young AM listener who enjoyed the top 40 music on CFTR. As the 80s progressed, I started listening to harder rock, and that meant discovering Q107.

There were years in the late 80s that I awoke to Q107. There was Jesse and Gene, and then Brother Jake Edwards and the Edwards Air Force Base when Jesse and Gene moved to the AM dial. I remember around the time Appetite For Destruction was released that Q107's Top Ten at Ten was essential nightly listening for me.

Here's an ad for the mighty Q from 1983.

The Six O'Clock Rock Report, with Derringer and Bob Mackowycz. I Loved that show in the early eighties.
