Kerry Joseph An Argo?

Published March 5, 2008 @ 19:29 in Toronto Argos

argosThe Toronto Argonauts appear to have landed a bonafide starting quarterback who's not in his 40s. Sources say the Argos have acquired the Canadian Football League's reigning outstanding player, Kerry Joseph, for a group of players. We'll likely get the details tomorrow at 10am.

Joseph ranked third in CFL passing last season with 4,002 yards and guided the Roughriders to a 12-6 record and their first Grey Cup appearance since 1997.

Arrrrrrgoooooos!

As an Argo fan I'm pleased, but this is bad for the league.

It represents everything that's wrong with the CFL. The Grey Cup winning quarterback, who was named CFL outstanding player gets traded????

It destroys the leagues credibility and feeds the continuity problem.

Its like the Giants trading Eli Manning. Would that ever happen?

Mickey Mouse.

Good point, but I do recall a certain back-to-back Cy Young winner who was traded.

We now have details. The Saskatchewan Roughriders confirmed Wednesday that they traded quarterback Kerry Joseph and a draft pick to the Toronto Argonauts for offensive tackle Glenn January, defensive lineman Ronald Flemons and two picks.

Forget the Argos guys! Let’s get a real football team here – an NFL team.

The talk in out office today is not ‘wow the Argos got Kerry Joseph’ its ‘did you hear Farve retired?’
