Leafs"Three wins in four games have the Toronto Maple Leafs talking about the postseason again."

That's the first line in today's Associated Press write up about our thrilling victory yesterday afternoon. This is our worst dream realized. The Leafs can't even lose properly.

As a fan with decades of Leaf worship under my belt, I've thoroughly enjoyed these wins over Ottawa, Montreal and Detroit. We're beating the best in the league and it's thanks to efforts from guys named Dominic Moore, Robbie Earl and Jiri Tlusty. It's fun, but it's that vicious cycle we know all too well.

We finish 9th, which gives us a taste of a playoff race, but it doesn't win you the cup, and that's just not good enough.

This is the third year in a row we've had that... "let's rally and go for it and finish 9th!"

We're so good at it, I'm almost excited about doing it again.

Well, you know and I know that would about the worst possible scenario that could play out. With the possible exception of squeaking into 8th place and getting our doors blown off by the Sens (or perhaps the Habs).

Of course, Tosky as you like to call him, might be good enough for a first round upset, but we really need to re-tool this team into something that can actually win the Cup, not just claw life and death to reach the playoffs and hope to get lucky.

Of course we're right, but since when have the Leafs followed the sensible course?

Cliffy better sell anything to anyone who will buy... although I hope we hold on to Tosky and Kaberle...
