Milt Dunnell, Rest in Peace

In MemoriumMilt Dunnell was 102. He was a Canadian sportswriter, known chiefly for his work at the Toronto Star.

I grew up reading Milt Dunnell in the Star. For a taste of his greatness, here's an article of his from May 18, 1983 entitled "Gretzky class his trademark win or lose".

I, too, grew up reading him in the Star, you know, back when the newspaper was the best source of getting news. Here's his take on the Jays' 92 WS triumph.

Speaking of the Star, do they still have that StarPhone service they were pushing back before this newfangled internet thing took off? I think the number was (416) 350-3000.

I just called it. It's cricket news. Too funny...

I guess cricket fans don't know about this interweb yet.

Hahahaha. I love it. It's fair enough, I don't know anything about that cricket game either.
